Na sexta-feira, 19, durante a San Diego Comic Con, foram anunciados os vencedores do Eisner Awards 2019, o mais importante prêmio da indústria dos quadrinhos. Senhor Milagre de Tom King e Mitch Gerads, publicada pela DC Comics, foi um dos grandes destaques. Indicada a quatro categorias na premiação, saiu vitoriosa em três delas: Melhor Minissérie, Melhor Roteirista e Melhor Arte-Finalização. A Marvel levou na categoria Melhor História em Edição Única, com a publicação Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #310, de Chip Zdarsky. O prêmio de Melhor Série foi entregue a Dias Gigantes, de John Allison, Max Sarin, e Julaa Madrigal, da BOOM! Box. Ano passado, o brasileiro Marcelo D’Salete ganhou um Eisner por Cumbe. Este ano, foi a vez de Adriana Melo, agraciada com um prêmio por Puerto Rico Strong que foi considerada a Melhor Antologia pelos votantes do Eisner.
